Rev. Congdon was born and raised in Connecticut, and graduated from Terryville High School. He graduated from UMass-Amherst with a degree in English and American Literature. After working with developmentally disabled adults and construction, he joined the Center Congregational Church in Manchester, CT. He became a Deacon and was drawn closer and closer to the church. He attended Andover-Newton Theological school and eventually was called to Temple, N.H., a small town in the southwestern hills. As minister to the only church in town, he became pastor to the town, and was called upon to offer remarks and prayers at various town functions. He began his ministry here at the Elmwood Community Church in November of 2009.

Jerry has been the Director of Music at Elmwood Community Church since 1996 and has been a church organist for the past thirty years. A graduate in organ performance from the Hartt School of Music, Jerry is always in demand as an organist, pianist, accompanist and vocal coach. He has accompanied singers, instrumentalists and choral groups throughout New England, as well as many musicals with local community theater groups. Recently, under his direction, the Elmwood Community Church Choir cut their first CD, We Have Come This Far By Faith (to hear a cut from the CD click here).

Geri started in September of 2007 and is available during church office hours.
